Recently the Ontario Energy Board released updated pricing and the Ontario Electricity Rebate (Replacing the 8% rebate). On first appearance it appears that Time-of-Use rates have skyrocketed, but the final impact on the average 700kWh customer will be an increase of $1.99 or 1.9%.
While rates are increasing, the Ontario Electricity Rebate is also increasing from 8% to 31.8%. The following image displays how the average 700kWh bill will be affected:
